We launched Startator.com in a day or two and it was up and running with all the features we needed integrated and working. Opensource rules these days, as every content owner can publish information in a nice readable format in one or two hours, using Wordpress, launch Digg type of site using Pligg. And I'm sure there are a lot of other interesting software.
So big thanks for the opensource market, but next steps are not so easy.
1. Editing content. This really takes times. That is probably why more that 2/3 of blogs and new sites does not succeed. Lack of time, will or both. So we are focusing on trying to put as much as possible usefull information into Startator.com and this takes I would say 6-8 hours of all our time a week. So advice for the ones that are thinking that is easy - do not start if you are not ready to dedicate at least 10 hours a week (this is only for content).
2. Registering the site in the search engines, free directories, blog sites and all else possible. We started with the free submission to the directories, to the list which you can find in Nate Whitehill's blog. Not all of them are free now, but You can find some that will help you in the way of making your site more popular.
3. Commenting on other blogs. This is also one of the best ways to be known. BUT this element takes A LOT OF time. You have to be updated of all new posts (so use RSS reader here) and try to comment not with some blah blah stuff, but put quality comments. One thing - you start to like it, when you do it seriously; another thing - you will not get banned by putting comments like "Oh, what a nice post" to every post in the blog. A little advice on this one - collect like top50 of blogs that are in the same topic as you are and track new titles comming, comment them and it will do you good. How good? We will continue to write how we succeeded, because now the results are quite low, as we are started only a little more than a week.

Startator.com - daily read for entrepreneurs
Hello,
It is nice to see you here all ;)
I will now introduce what we are doing here and why we have created Startator.com.
We have always been interested in SEO ant internet marketing. As we all came from mobile internet and marketing fields – we have never tried SEO deeply. And one morning while drinking coffee and discussing about starting new project for both – mobile and usual internet we’ve decided to make an experiment (but useful and interesting experiment) – startator.com !
Thinking about the idea we thought – we are young entrepreneurs - every day we read lot’s of business news, find useful links about productivity, entrepreneurship, startups, etc. We usually share interesting news and links between us – via del.icio.us or emails. And we decided why not to share with everyone? And everyone could share news or great links too.
So finally we came with an idea to make digg.com like site, which one would be specialized for entrepreneurs. To make a great site for every entrepreneur to have a great source for daily read.
And while making this site-experiment we hope to deepen our knowledge into SEO and to deliver a great site.
Contribute – share your useful links – and we will all have a great entrepreneurship source.
Best regards,
Povilas Skrebutenas

Startator - entrepreneurship, SEO and internet marketing experiment
First posts will be from the contributors this blog and founders of Startator.com. We thought it would be a good idea to make a portal where people could find news and links for very narrow topics, topics being entrepreneurship, business start-ups, personal entrepreneur's productivity, lifehacks, business funding and capital raise. We were looking for a similar web project, but the search was unsucessful.
We are all project managers working in the same company, heading projects for mobile, wap, web, therefore we more than love web2.0.
Startator.com is an experiment with a goal to make our SEO and internet marketing know-how more deeper. So we took a code of Pligg, changed some links, templates and were up and running in less than 2 days.
This blog will be dedicated to keep update of the project development, success stories, main lessons learned. So, the ones that also are on the way to learn a lot of new things in internet marketing, SEO and grow your entrepreneur skills, please, join us with Your comments in our blog and links for the Startator.com.
